BuildTracer

Upload a floor plan. Get the take‑off.

BuildTracer reads residential PDF drawings and traces every wall, door, window and room, so you start the estimate with quantities instead of a scale ruler.

From drawing set to quantities in one pass

Most of a take-off is tracing what the architect already drew. BuildTracer does the tracing and leaves you the checking.

  1. 1

    Upload the drawings

Drop in the PDF set. BuildTracer finds the floor plans among the elevations, sections and site plans.

  2. 2

    It traces the plan

Walls, doors, windows, rooms and fixtures are traced on the sheet, with the scale taken from the printed dimensions.

  3. 3

    Every area is checked

A second pass looks over each part of the plan and repairs what the first one missed.

  4. 4

    Review and export

Check the layers against the drawing, then take the quantities as CSV and the traced sheets as PDF.
